WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULL SERVICE INTEIROR DESIGN AND VIRTUAL INTERIOR DESIGN?

Full-service interior design is a comprehensive, hands-on offering. It includes in-person consultations, site visits, builder coordination, procurement and installation management.

Virtual interior design delivers the same considered design expertise in a streamlined, remote format. It focuses on one space at a time and provides a clear, builder-ready design package and guidance you can implement with your builder, at your own pace and budget, without ongoing site involvement.

DO YOU SELECT THE APPLIANCES?

We provide considered guidance on appliance selection, including layout, sizing and style recommendations to suit your kitchen design. Final selection and purchasing is managed by you or your builder, using our design direction as the guide.

If you’d like a full specification schedule and access to our trade discounts, this can be added as an additional service.

DO YOU SELECT THE FIXTURES?

Yes. We provide clear design direction for key fixtures and finishes, including cabinetry, materials, surfaces and tapware. All selections are designed to work cohesively together, with final purchasing managed by you or your builder using our specifications as the guide.

DO YOU MANAGE THE BUILDER AND INSTALLATION?

No. Our virtual service is design-focused rather than project-managed.

Instead, we provide a builder-ready design pack and recorded design guidance so your builder, cabinet maker or trades can clearly understand the intent. This allows you to move forward confidently without paying for full-service project management.

DOES YOUR SUPPLIER LIST INCLUDE WHOLESALE OR TRADE PRICING?

Our supplier list is Studio Mae’s carefully curated little black book, with trusted suppliers arranged across different budget tiers. You use our design direction and work with your builder and the suppliers to select the option that best suits your budget.
